How to unlock Huawei P9
The Huawei P9 is a high quality Android handset offering solid performance, long battery life and an incredibly fast fingerprint scanner for easy secure access.
Inside it boasts a Kirin CPU and 3GB of RAM, so it’s easy to see why it’s high in demand. Of course, one of the drawbacks of the Huawei P9 is that it’s often supplied locked to a particular network or carrier, such as Verizon or Vodafone.
Thankfully, it’s easy to unlock the device in order to use it with a different provider, or even to use it in a different country!
What is an unlock code?
An unlock code is a unique code which, when entered, allows you to use your phone on any network or in any country you desire. Each unlock code corresponds to the unique phone IMEI number, and essentially tells the phone to stop restricting SIM cards from other network providers.
How do I unlock my phone?
Firstly you’ll need your phone’s IMEI number. To find this, simply dial *#06# and make a note of this code, as you will need it later. If your device has a removable battery, you will find your IMEI located on a sticker underneath.
Unlocking your Huawei P9
Firstly, insert the SIM card of your desired network. When prompted to enter your unlock code, simply type the code provided to you by Unlock Network, and you’ll be able to enjoy your phone exactly how you want to – without being tied down to a service provider.
